Rules and Regulations The following standing orders are in effect, and apply to all Black Aces. 1. VFA-41 is a squadron of active carrier pilots. "Active" is defined as flying in a squadron mission at least once a week. The squadron roster is limited to 12 active pilots. There is no "inactive" or "reserve" roster. A pilot who can no longer remain active shall resign his commission or request retirement. 2. Pilots must review the squadron website and message board as frequently as necessary to stay informed of scheduled missions and other events. 3. All pilots must keep in contact with the chain of command. A pilot should request leave if an extended absence is necessary. 4. For scheduled missions, all assigned pilots will be at preflight, on time. Be ready for preflight with PC freshly rebooted, controls programmed and tested, comms engaged, routers configured, beer opened, dog put outside, bathroom break completed, and whatever else you need.  If your aircraft is not mission capable at the scheduled launch time, you will not fly the mission (same as in the real world). 5. Black Aces will show a properly formatted VFA-41 callsign in multi-player servers.  Squadron callsigns are subject to assignment/acceptance by the Commanding Officer. 6. Pilots may not use view 'cheats' during missions to provide an unrealistic ability to identify targets, etc. External views in the immediate vicinity of your aircraft, such as "fly by" view or to check if lights are on, are okay. 7. VFA-41 is structured under and uses a US Navy rank structure and chain of command.  Pilots are required to follow administrative orders issued by the Commanding Officer and Executive Officer. In flight, the assigned Mission Commander and Flight Leaders have immediate authority. All pilots and aircraft shall comply with orders and tasking from Mission Commander and Flight Leaders. 8. Black Aces may not also fly as a member of another DCS World carrier squadron. 9. Pilots shall train and practice comms discipline during missions. 10. The minumum age for VFA-41 pilots is 18.
